Software Development >>
As the software industry moves unrelentingly towards new methods for managing the ever-increasing complexity of software project management standard for successful execution of large scale IT projects. The process is based on an architecture-first approach.

We follow an iterative life cycle process that confronts risk early. This process refine the problem understanding, an effective solution and effective plan over several interactions encourages a balanced treatment of all stakeholder objectives.
The designed methods have also undergone a transition at SVAM to emphasize component-based development. A change management environment has been effectively deployed. The dynamics of iterative development, including concurrent workflows by different teams working artifacts necessitates objectively controlled baselines.

SVAM uses demonstration-based approach to assess immediate artifacts. We believe that transitioning the current state-of-the-product artifacts (weather the artifact is an early prototype, a baseline architecture or a beta capability) into an executable demonstration of relevant scenarios stimulates earlier convergence on integration, a more tangible understanding of design trade offs and earlier elimination of architectural defects.

Knowledge Transfer (KT)
It is an activity that commences at the beginning of the project and it involves the transfer of application specific knowledge or requirements from the customer to the vendor. It primarily involves the following phases upon project startup

*Initial Study :
The team carries out an assessment of the current state of system requirements and plans the system appreciation phase.

*System Appreciation :
This involves studying current business processes, current databases, operating environment and determining system standards.

*Transition :
During this phase the customer approves SVAM’s understanding of the projects and we start working on the project tasks.

Schedule management involves identification of the list of lifecycle and project management activities to be performed. Effort estimation for these activities is done according to the estimation for these activities are done according to the estimation guidelines. Schedule tracking/updating a project takes stock of completed tasks, and checks to see if the project can be expected to complete on schedule. It also allows for the dynamic re-prioritization of tasks.

ROUND TRIP ENGINEERING AT SVAM

SVAM recognize quality as a competitive necessity, and has instituted stringent quality assurance and control measures. For every release or set of releases, quality goals would typically include the number of delivered defects, and desired objectives for productivity, schedule slippage, etc.

Quality Assurance and quality control activities like design reviews, code reviews, unit testing, system testing, etc are scheduled and tracked during project execution. Checklists are used at each stage.
