Persona options
Persona is a concurrency-licensed product offering enterprise-wide access to multiple hosts.
Optional packages include:
Server-specific X.509 Digital Certificates
Available in the U.S. and Canada as an optional package with the Persona product, server-specific
Persona X.509 certificates provide enhanced server authentication for added security with Persona's
thin clients.
Persona X.509 server certificates provide Persona Java thin clients and Windows thin clients with
electronic signatures verifying the identity of the server’s “owner.” Using sophisticated public-key
encryption technology, Persona X.509 server certificates help prevent the use of fake public keys for
impersonation of Persona servers. This offers added protection against attempts by “impostors” to
compromise the security of the server’s sensitive data such as customer account information or
healthcare records. Persona X.509 server certificates must be renewed annually, which helps maintain
continuous security.
Make sensitive data more secure

How Persona X.509 server certificates work
When users connect to the Persona server, the server presents a digital certificate signed by a
trusted Certificate Authority. The certificate acts as an electronic license to authenticate the
server’s credentials for secure web access, binding the server’s identity to a public key for
verification that the server has the right to present information. Users can access information
with confidence, knowing the server’s owner is who it claims to be. Specific information contained
in each certificate includes:
- X.509 version of the certificate
- Certificate serial number
- Signature algorithm
- Certificate issuer
- Certificate validity period
- Subject
- Public key
- Organization name
- Department or unit name
- City
- State
- Contact name
- Contact email address
Users can check the essential certificate information by viewing the Persona encryption settings dialog.
