Having processed over a million images we offer services, which
are unparallel in the imaging industry. The image processing
activity at Svam includes all or some of the phases listed below
depending upon the clients requirements.
Scanning
Scanning is a technique of converting non-digital images into a
digital format to aid the further processing if required using
methods like Rotation, Cropping, Masking, Photo Editing, etc. In
Svam we do TP scanning using the state of art scanners (Scitex
Ever smart Pro) with facility of color correction and sharpness.
Rotation
Rotation is a process of correcting the alignment of the object in
the photograph. The main objective is to remove wrong alignment
of object, which may arise due to improper scanning or faulty
photography.
Cropping
Cropping is the process of removing the unwanted area of the
image which may arise due to rotation and which in turn may cause
the image size to increase.
Masking
Masking is the process of selecting the main object in the image
and covering the background area, which in turn increases the
portability of the image. These images can further be used in
different situations on any background wherever the need may
arise.
Cleaning
Cleaning is the process of removing oil marks, scratches, unwanted
hair & thread, skin blemishes and pimples from faces or any other
dirt marks that may be affecting the look of the image. This is
achieved through cloning and image merging. The clean images are
then checked through color channels (RGB) to make sure no clone
marks or brush drag marks are visible on the images.
Indexing and Keywording
The image key wording process involves assigning keywords to an
image to help the user to narrow down his search to a particular
theme. These may include different type of description, subject
activities, concepts, ethnicity, occupations, object etc. Keywords
are useful if a person is trying to locate a piece of clipart/image
matching a selected theme. Indexing is the process of categorizing
the photographs into respective categories.
